career options
we were in the car, going for breakfast, and we were discussing tertiary education and career options. then my grandmama asked fart what she wanted to be when she grows up.

fart: i wanna be a good girl.

haha. how adorable. and wise coming from a 5 year old (though i don't really think she understood the deeper meaning to what she had just said). i mean, we were all talking about high profile jobs and successful careers, and then comes this little girl saying that all she wants to be is a good person. best ambition yet.

i love being around children. and it's spurring me to want to be a kindergarten teacher. quite an enjoyable job, don't you think?
but i don't want to be a teacher because i fear the pressures of being an educator. i don't think i'm prepared to risk being responsible for screwing up someone else's child.

oh i forgot to mention, my grandmama said i'll make a good doctor. hello? i'm an arts student. medicine is out of the equation, man. but yeah, thanks for the compliment. though i'm kinda curious as to what basis she made her statement from.

i was sitting, facing my brother's messy collection of books and one of the book titles caught my eye, "There are ghosts everywhere in Singapore".

and there's not even any mention of an author, just the publisher.
and get this,
the publishing company's called...

*drumroll please*

The Publishing Consultant
